Out of my about 250 remixes I’ve done for different record companies, maybe about 5 of them was rejected and this is one of them.

Archive 1995 – Infinite Mass-Mah Boyz (Pierre J Remix)
Due to the fact that I appeared on over 50 records during 1995 and another 50 during 1996, there were little time to do music which was not scheduled to be released.
But I needed a house-version to play out of “Infinite Mass-Mah Boyz” when it was climbing the charts. The record company was not interested to create any demand for a house-version, due to the fact that they tried to market Infinite Mass as “real hip-hop”, so there were no intentions of getting this released.
Archive 1993 – James Brown-Soulpower – Pierre J Remix
A very tricky remix to do.
It is a mixture of “James Brown-Soul Power” and “Maceo & The Macks-Soul Power ’74” which in fact are the musicians in the band of James Brown, so both these recordings is sounding the same. “Soul Power ’74” is the saxophone-version of the track.
Instead of having a fixed tempo, I made Cubase follow these recordings instead, which varied from 104 up to 110 BPM. That synchronisation took almost a week on it’s own. Check it out!

Här från tidigt 80-tal återfinns synt, italo disco, electro och annan för tiden populär dansmusik. Själv är jag mellan 10-13 år när jag skaffar dessa skivor och jag diggar det syntetiska soundet stenhårt.

Denna mixen gjordes 2007 men med gammal teknik, dvs live från 2 stycken 1200-grammofoner och en mixer. Låtarna går inte rakt i takt och är därför väldigt svåra att mixa ihop, så det är långt ifrån perfekt. Själva mixen användes till ett av mina P3-dans-program som sändes samma år.
