This is one old mix from my archive, where I tried to create some sort of story and used the Cassette-Portastudio to the max.
This is heavily influenced, or in fact a total rip-off, from a “porta-mix” made by “DJ Saine”. I got 3 mixes from a friend of DJ Saine, based in Gothenburg and these 3 mixes just blew me away! The way they were put together with inserts and tight scratching just took everything to the next level for me. I just had to try this myself. With the same “Paris”-track as a background, this was my first attempt to create something similar. Hat off to DJ Saine!
All songs played from vinyl using Technics 1200 and mixed live into a 4-track cassette-portastudio and then recorded on a DAT-tape. Recorded 92-04-21
